    Can we use the serial port to control a disk recorder with Sony protocol RS422. if so what are the settings that I have to use

    Hi -- There is no VTR protocol -- Only AMP media Protocol for server/clip playback.

    The above thread has a link to a DashBoard panel that was made to allow some configuration of control of a sony 422 protocol. However it requires that you have an IP to Serial Conversion box.
