  • 1.  Frame control with web interface?

Is there a way to operate a vision frame from the web interface?

    Change x points on buses?

Or recall memories, run custom controls?

It would be convienent to have that ability back in the machine room with a laptop loged in to the frame rather than having to be at the panel in the control room.

A virtual control panel would be great but any control of the switcher outputs via the network would help.

    Hi Paul,

We do not have a simple web interface or anything like that sorry.

Could the newly released "SoftPanel" installed on a laptop work?

    Hi Philip,

The only issue there is that there is currently no way in the "Menu Panel" which is what SoftPanel is giving you to have the ability to assign sources to busses. You still require a physical panel for that. In the future this is something we will be able to do.

Now if you build some Custom Controls to trigger some events that you did program on the panel you would be able to trigger those from the softpanel gui running on the laptop.

Is the "Menu Panel" the same layout and controls that show up on the Vision Touch Screen?

    Thanks

    Hi Phillip,

Yes the SoftPanel is essentially the Vision Menu running on another computer (or more since you can have up to 9 panels total connected at once to a single frame). The configuration is just like setting up a Sat Panel. You assign your GUI a Panel ID 1-8 (Master is for the primary real control panel) and enter the IP address of the Frame. Then you log into the Frame and enter the SoftPanels IP address into the matching Panel ID slot.

Reboot the frame(there is a button in the frame web browser for this) and now you will have permission and access from the SoftPanel.

Well the SoftPanel sounds like it will do what I need. I could build the Custom Controls to do what I need at the panel then run them from SoftPanel.

I assume one can also make changes to the installation setup like output BNC assignments.

I need to get the upgrade.

    Thanks
