  • 1.  Selecting and assigning AUXs in version 8

    Posted 03-07-2014 18:12
We just upgraded our firmware to version 8.0.1 - and now can't figure out how to select and assign PGM bus to our higher number AUX (5-8). For example - for AUX 5 - we would hold down buttons for Aux 1 & 4 at the same time - then tap the AUX/PGM button in the bottom row. But now when we hold down 2 Aux buttons to get higher AUX #s - it doesn't work.

So how do we assign PGM, CLN, etc to the higher # AUXs?

    Hi Stan,

Good to hear from you, I hope you are well. In version 8 onwards we have redesigned how the AUX buttons work so that you can use them to select MiniME and MultiScreen control as well as Aux's. From you question you must have one of our 16 button panels with 4 aux selectors, if you hold down any AUX button you will see the mnemonics change to show aux 1 - 8, simply press the button associated with the aux you want to control on the delegate row and you have selected control of the AUX. Now release the AUX button you were holding and choose a source as normal. That should work just fine.

However, when in MiniME mode you can reassign the function of those AUX select buttons by going to Menu-User-UseSEL and there you can make any of the for buttons a ME, MiniME, MultiScreen or Aux select button. If you make a button anything other than an AUX you will see that holding it down brings up a different selection on the mnemonics, this is where you can choose what the ME row is controlling.

Sounds bit confusing but once you try it you will see it really is very intuitive and straight forward.

We can talk directly if you have other questions.

If your running dashboard you can also assign the AUX outputs from there. Quick and easy also.
