  • 1.  Media-Store Animation Autoplay Behavior

    Hi,

What are the specific actions that can trigger an animation to actually autoplay?

I currently have an animation loaded in M1 with the attribute set to autoplay. When I cut to M1 on progam, or cut a key to air that's using M1, the animation doesn't play. However, if I have M1 live on the program bus, or the key live, and then reload that media, it autoplays.

Is this the correct behavior? I expected, based on the manual and conversations on this forum, that whenever I took the media "to-air", it should autoplay. I have made a custom control as a work-around, but I'm wondering if something is wrong with the autoplay feature.

    I am on 7.1 software.

    Thanks,

    David

Nevermind. It works as expected after a switcher reboot.

I'm having a problem with Auto Play that didn't get fixed on a power cycle.

I created a Media Wipe the old fashioned way using Key 4 and a custom control. The custom control changes Key 4 to Media Store 2, selects U1.001, then cuts it on. There's a 15 frame pause then there's a BG Cut, then another 15 frame pause before cutting Key 4 off and changing it back to CG4. This works like a charm on MLE2, but when I built the exact same effect on MLE1 it brings the animation from Media Store 2 on at the midpoint and does not play it. The rest of the custom control works. Why should this work on MLE2 but not on MLE1? I have the animation set to Auto Play, as evidenced by the fact that it works in MLE2.

    David,

I see that this is an old post so I am sorry for the delay.

I am curious as to why you would create a MediaWipe manually, if you use the MediaWipe transition feature it will work every time, you can put it in a Custom Control and it doesn't use an MLE keyer so you still have 4 keys.

What version of software are you running?

    Nigel,

The reason I built it this way is because the built-in media wipe doesn't allow you to wipe over a key. You can only take a key out or put one in with the media wipe.

This way I can wipe video and hot read a lower third underneath the wipe.

I have it as a custom control, so it's still just a button push, and we very rarely use more than one keyer at a time anyway, so using Key 4 isn't a big deal.
