I have been told that TSL protocol is not compatible with the Ross Vision series of video mixers. I would like to import/export numonics and tally info to a Tallyman 1 system and have this relayed to my Evertz Vip multi-viewer. Please can someone confirm if this is possible with this setup.

The Switcher can ACCEPT TSL v3.1 from the Tallyman for taking in UMD names. The Switcher will SEND Contribution Protocol which the Tallyman can accept over Serial (might support IP now as well not sure) and there is a preconfigured device in the protocol.

Thanks Les. Thats very helpful. Could I impose on you to confirm if IP is an option for TSL communication. It would be useful to me as I am in the process of configuring a cable schedule for a Ross Vision OCT3 based system.

We don't have separate licenses for IP or Serial Coms. So when you configure the Device in the Vision your able to select to use it either over Serial or over IP.
