Production Switchers

We have 4 ME Vision with 4 DVEs. 2 DVEs for ME 1 and 2 and 2 DVEs for ME 3 and 4. I am pretty sure once I was able to have all 4 DVEs together on one ME but that was years ago and now I cannot figure out how to share the DVEs to allow this when needed. The manual mentions this but I cannot find where it actually describes how to do it.

There is no way for DVE to get from 1/2 to 3/4 and vice versa. They share the DVE at the Vid Proc level via Interlinks between the ME FPGAs. So you can not have DVE from a different Vid Proc share with Another -- Even if they are on the Same DVE Carrier as the links are hard Wired to the Vids.

Okay. Maybe sharing is a not exactly what I need. How about just being able to fly-key 3 or 4 DVE on one ME. Not talking about Pre-set key Channel 1/2 etc. but full control of more than 2 DVE as it is now or is that what you mean I can't do as that is sharing?

That is still sharing. They would need to get there and they can't. if you only have 2 channels of DVE on ME1/2 -- Not 4 channels as in 2 per ME then no you can not have 3 or 4 channels on an ME since they are connected to different boards in the system.
