  • 1.  Global Store resets after shutdown or reboot

Ok, so I had another topic about a week ago, and it's kind of the same problem but this is the underlying problem, as to why the auxes wouldn't save. The global store memory module actually uses an old file when the switcher is shut down or rebooted. I've made changes to a store and then stored them by hitting store all, then bank+0, then 0, then enter, and I always hit accept new name just in case. So then I've tried restarting the global store module and that doesn't affect the stores at all, and then force-upgrading all the modules doesn't reset it either, and after storing a store once, I can flip between stores and it even shows me the changes I made. It's just when it's shut down or restarted that it loses the changes. I actually did try setting the auxes with a custom control and it only saves temporarily. The store isn't locked or anything, it just won't save. The last time it would was probably the beginning of July. On the side, this switcher is still on version 10.1i and won't take any updates. It just says build 16v1d received, now verifying integrity. Then a second later it comes back with error: file failed to unpack.

    Sean,

Aux buses do not store to a Default Set in vision.

You have to make a memory or custom control that sets them how you like and run it whe it reboots.

When you store the memory you have to make sure the attributes have all of the auxes you want recalled enabled.

Sounds like you might have downloaded the software using safari and it partially unpacks the software from the original container automatically.

I use Firefox I down load vision software.

Ok, thanks for the reply, but I've tried adding auxes to the MLE attributes from the home menu, but no matter what I do, it won't save to the global-store. It's like it's only saving it to the RAM but not submitting it to the hard drive like it should. We also use Firefox to download our updates, and on a Windows system, so Safari isn't even an option. I guess I should just call tech support, but it seems like a really weird problem... I would've thought it to be some weird OS setting that could be fixed with help from the forums, but maybe it's just some physical/technical issue. I really hope nothing needs to be sent out for repair because, like any studio, we have shows all the time, and the switcher is the most important part.
