  • 1.  Still Store Capture issues

    Hi,

    I am a morning director for WMTV 15, the Gray-owned NBC affiliate in Madison, Wisconsin. We have an Acuity switcher and OverDrive 15.8.2.

    I am trying to capture a still from preview to a still store directory. I have the directory I want selected, I hit "Capture to Disk" and a message pops up that says "Capture failed. Could not get still number."

    I've saved stills successfully before on this switcher, and on our old Vision which worked in much the same way. What is going on?

    Can you try capturing to RAM and then saving to disk? If that fails I would consider Rebooting the Switcher Frame. (well really just the GFX Buffer which can be done from the System Shutdown menu). If that still does not work I would call Tech Support so that they can log in possibly to have a look or at least to pull the logs.

    Thanks for the reply. I was able to capture to RAM earlier but couldn't find an option to then save from RAM to disk. I'll see if rebooting the buffer works.

    after you capture there is a button to the right of the Capture to RAM or DISK that will now be available to save to disk

    After I capture to RAM it takes me back to the Still Store 1-2 screen and I don't have access to the Save Capture to Disk button.

    you can navigate back to it via the menus.
