Production Switchers

I am trying to copy the 2nd Channel from a 2 Channel Fly Key (2 DVE Boxes sharing 1 Keyer) to a BKGD Bus.

For example, I am trying to Copy MLE 2 Key 1 Channel 2 to the MLE 2 BKGD Bus. When I use the Copy Buses feature, it always copies MLE 2 Key 1 Channel 1, even if I have MLE 2 Key 1 Channel 2 "Selected" on the Key Bus.

Is there a way this is possible, or will I never be able to copy Channel 2 from a Keyer to a BKGD Bus?

Okay -- so this will be a convoluted way of doing it since the copy Bus menu does not have the "alpha" channel in it to copy from.

What you will need to do is setup some AutoFollows. You would want to create a Echo from the Keyers Alpha channel. Now you echo that to an Aux Bus that your not really using -- basically your using the Aux Bus as a virtual location that is going to be copied to from the Keyer Alpha every time the source changes. Let's just call it Bank 6 Aux 2 since we are using Keyer 2. Now what you can do is create a custom control that will copy from Aux 6:2 down to ME 2 BKGD. That way you can run it when ever you like and this should get you what you need.
