Production Switchers

Hey Les (and others),

Since we upgraded to 17.3c last October, ftp/webdav access to our still store has not been working. The password was always the default "user" & "password". I did not change the password as part of the upgrade. I can still access the upgrade/system status page using these credentials. Can you offer any assistance on how to reset the still store to allow access?

With all of the changes to WebDAV authentication in Windows 7 onwards this has become a very flaky supportable protocol.

I would recommend that you switch to using FTP. You can MAP a network drive the same way but instead use FTP and the IP address of the switcher.

We access the still store from 2 computers. One with XP and the other a mac, so I'm not so sure it's related to Windows7. I'll try FTP later this week.

Also, I meant to ask if there is a newer version of the firmware than 17.3c. 17.3c has been mostly solid, but I had a situation this weekend that made me wonder if we need to do another update.

ME1 Keyers were not keying properly - Chroma key appeared at half transparency, Self keys weren't working correctly either. This was resolved by a system restart. After that reboot, I couldn't modify or save anything. Custom controls couldn't be swapped/moved and I couldn't create new ones. Disk and USB wouldn't save or load either. Memories would store, but I couldn't save the vision files. Had to reboot for that too. After the second full system reboot and a third panel reboot, everything worked.

Yes contact Tech Support as we are now into Version 18.1 I believe.
