  • 1.  Triggering videos on Evertz Dreamcatcher from Acuity

    Hi all,

    We have acuity and carbonite switchers and run videos off of an evertz dreamcatcher video server. We would like to know if there is any way to trigger queued videos off of a custom control or otherwise through the acuity. Is it possible to add the dreamcatcher as a device on Acuity? Currently we have to trigger them through the touchscreen interface. Would love to get this capability going.

    The DreamCatcher does have AMP server protocol. As long as your on the same IP Network with the control panel and the dreamcatcher then you will be able to control it with AMP. https://www.rossvideo.com/support/documentation/acuity/ On that page use the Video Server GVG and configure like a K2 with the Flex Clip device type. That should work.
