Has anybody been successful in getting a Carbonite to talk to a TSI-3000?

I think we have the serial cable wired correctly, the TSI only complains about baud not correct, and I have tried them all. But I still can not determine communications. This is in a brand new system with 1 Carbonite, 6 CCUs and 3 MVPs. I know an Image Video system is overkill but it is what they want to use.

Also, we don't see it in Dashboard. But that is another problem...

    Hi John,

The TSI system may or may not contain the software implementation of the TSL UMD input code. The Image Video Guys sent us a unit for testing so that we could test it. We are sending the data over IP by the way not using the serial port. You may need to get a software update to support this feature.

As for showing up in DashBoard -- the switchers don't use the SLP implementation and auto populate. In your basic Tree View you will need to press the + button to manually add a connection. Select openGear - then TCP/IP openGear Frame. Enter the IP address of your Carbonite. Change the Name to what you would like it to be seen as (i.e. Studio 1). Then Press Finish -- don't bother detecting settings this will not do anything.
