    What file type should I use for an animation in Media-Store?

    TARGA is used for animations in the media store.

    EDIT: apparently PNG is ok too, but I've not had success with that even on version 7.

    PNG works fine -- I use many sequences that are PNG based that I have exported from After Effects and from XPression.

    I've found that they come out as multiple files on the switcher, instead of a single animation. I'm pretty sure that I do the same thing for PNG as I do for TARGA.

    Yes they come out as Name_0000 thru Name_xxxx each is a frame and the switcher sees them as a "single item" and loads them into the ram cache
