The station that I work at owns a 3 MLE Ross Vision switcher which is ran by OverDrive. The station will potentially purchase a fourth MLE and they need a case for purchasing one. The advantages that I'm aware of is that an additional MLE would allow us to put video in both sides of a double box. Also, I'm assuming that an additional MLE would allow us to wipe between two pieces of video in a monitor. By the way, we have 3 video sources, and currently we reserve the third for video in monitors and in boxes. I know that we would be able to go beyond a quad box with an additional MLE. I'm guessing that we would also be able to wipe in a double box. Please tell me other benefits of having an extra MLE. I should also note that we have began using virtual reality and will very soon start using augmented reality. I very much appreciate your input.
