    Hey,

I am using a Ross Vision switcher that I am trying to work out how to utilize the Strobe preprocessor effect to give adjust the output effective frame rate to appear closer to 24FPS to achieve a more cinematic feel for IMAG.

When I turn on the effect I can't seem to find a combination of frozen and live frames that functions properly. My understanding is that running 1 live with 2 frozen frames would provide an effective output framerate of 20FPS, but it seems overly choppy.

I believe that I am not understanding the functionality of this effect. Does anyone have an experience with this preprocessor effect?

It is usually a 3:2 pull down that is needed -- now a "real one is" 3 :1 then 3:2 then 3:1 then 3:2. However with the Strobe effect you can only setup a single Live vs Frozen. So you should try to 3:2 or 3:1 and see if you like it.
