  • 1.  Function lock for Custom Control?

Is there a way to "lock" the functionality of the bus that is used to trigger custom controls? Currently, I use custom controls to recall and trigger my replay wipes, but like to maintain the flexibility of which keyers we use going back to game action ... and selecting a keyer changes the functionality of the bus that is also used to trigger the custom controls.

    Hi Matt,

Under the personality - Trans Area menu you with Find a NextTr set from Follow to No Follow. Make sure to set your overall switcher state for default with the on -- then under the Reset Menu do the Save Default State so that every time you do a Reset it will keep the NoFollow enabled.

Thank you, Les! All set ... not sure how I missed that, I feel kind dumb. :)

Les ... I did a "Save Default State", but this option always defaults to 'follow' rather than 'no follow'. I'm running 7.0 (don't remember which build) ... it's not a huge deal, I just thought I'd ask if maybe there was a software fix for this?

    Did you save afterwards?

If you recall the setup file it also recalls the default state and could be flipping it back.

Yes there is a newer version but currently 7.3 will change the way your mnemonics work and won't show you the macro colour.

Les, thank you again for your help. I've been trying some different combinations ... making sure that I've saved the default state, then re-saving all of the components of my 'set', even storing into a new 'set' register. I still can't get the change to stick. It's easy enough for me to change when I set-up to do a show, just hard to explain to people who aren't as familiar with the switcher.

We need to update to 7.3 for a few other improvements, so I'll likely revisit this after we install the update.

    Thank you again!
