i have saved the switch config set 0 and set 1, saving all memories. When I view the USB in the switcher folders that contain the saved sets the dates are not correct, the dates are like 12/13/2000 2:48 which of course is not the current date and time like today Dec 1, 2013 09:00. I guess I am missing setting the date and time in the switcher somewhere? I was not sure if it was saving the sets 0 and 1 so I saved another one under 8 and it did show up on the USB but the date and time does not reflect todays date. Help... thanks steve

From what I can tell, you can only set the time on the switcher so that the clock on the multiviewer is correct. There's no date setting that I can see. In the menu, press the config button and select clock. Just note that the clock in the Carbonite seems to run a bit faster than real time (it can gain a whole minute in a week).

    Gentlemen,

So it looks like Steve has found our best kept secret - the system date is arbitrary and there is no user setting for it. While we may be able to add that in a future release, there is no way at present to date stamp your saves. However, I trick that I use all the time is to rename the save files from setX to a show or event name. This has the advantage of not only making it easy to find saves but also leaves you with 10 empty set slots all the time.

When you hit recall and scroll through the saves any renamed sets will show up just fine.

James, you are correct that the clock when free running will not be particularly accurate, it should be pretty close but when free running it will not be exact. If you need total accuracy you can lock it to house or GPS time via the timecode input.
