While working on building a new effect, one of our directors double punched the "Shift 1" button on MLE 2 multiple times. After doing this, he noticed that the mneomnics display on that MLE had changed, and was now showing two rows of labels, Program and Shift 1, on MLE 2's display only. We have been all through the switcher, doing the obvious and taking wild guesses, to try and put the display back to normal...nothing works. Any ideas at all?? Thanks!

You just Shift locked the ME.

if you selected a source on the Bus that he double punched you would find that your going to be pressing the shift side sources without the need to press the shift.

You need to press the shift on that bus to release it.

Yes, that was our first thought, but pressing the shift button again has done nothing. We have 2 shift buttons and have tried them both. We are thinking about just rebooting the switcher??

easiest thing to do first is just force the Panel Application to "reboot"

To do this in the Joystick positioner area press and Hold the Three buttons on the panel (Link, Clear, hold) with your left hand and then press the joystick button on the top of the joystick.

This will reboot the panel application only -- takes only a few seconds.
