Hello. Currently on our tritium switcher we are using the onboard 4gb of storage for animated wipes and things like that but it filled up fairly quick. I was wondering if we could attach a USB drive to the headunit to increase our storage and playback the targa wipes from it?

    Thanks

    Scott,

Each MLE has it's own 1 GB of Cache as well. They all load from the Hard Drive and then from there into the RAM Cache. The internal HD is 160GB of storage. You can make Macros that call up elements but it will take time to load into cache from the Hard Drive but there will be a time for it to load. There is no way to increase the RAM or have another device connected (the hard drive is the fastest anyway since it is already on the PCI bus).

If you need to have more at the ready instant wipes and animations you should look at adding a BlackStorm Video server or a Single channel XPression (Prime or GO is plenty for this task) which would essentially give you endless amounts of animations that you could control and build into your Custom Controls.

    Hi Rene,

You can connect to the frame from a PC over FTP, SCP or WebDev and then drag and drop them off the switcher onto that PC which you have the USB connected to.
