First, in the custom you built to capture the pvw bus -- You need to delete the selecting the media player on the pvw bus. This will eliminate the 'feedback' -- follow the steps I provided above and you will have no problems.
Second, The carbonite does not have a hard drive it utilizes a USB you connect to the main frame for all things like capture, files for the media players, and saving / recalling your sets (shows).
Lastly, To view the captured files you can do as Les has mentioned above using filezilla OR another option is to 'load' the file back into a media player after capturing. You would press the desired media player you wish to load and see the captured file, then target the usb to the capture folder (the system builds this automaticly when you capture anything). Then turn the knob and press down to view it when your on the file your on. To rename the captured images, you will have to remove and use a computer or you could ftp from the usb, change the name. then ftp it back onto the usb.
