Production Switchers

Hey little Tip!

Did you know you can actually name the folders! set0-set9 are just a hardcoded name that the system uses but it will recognize folder names that user give as well. So if you have a USB that you already saved some shows to that is fine you can rename them.

First either FTP to the system or just plug the usb into your computer.

Now navigate the to the switcher/sets folder to find your current saved show setup file folders -- inside of each is the personality, installation, memories and custom control files.

If you rename the folder i.e.-- set0 to Hockey -- now when you go to Save or Load you will see that Set0 is now empty and a new folder is available -- Hockey.

You can also just create a bunch of empty folders with different names and they will also now become available locations for storing show setups.

Hey I did this but after I changed the name and tried to load/Save it say's "Failed"    Did you plug the USB into the Switcher or the Frame?

The USB has to be plugged into the frame not the panel.

Okay I did that and I got the name of "Set 1" to Change to what I wanted.  However now when I try to load or save to that set, It says "Failed"    Any clue?

can you store to the default names?

No comes up as Failed for all sets now

Check the usb drive...  that sounds like it is not seeing it... if you FTP into the switcher does it show the USB?

I am unsure how to FTP into the switcher as I have never done that before.    Basically we have 4 Ross Carbonite Black Series and they were installed during Covid time, we did not have training as normal and we are figuring it out as we go
