    Hi Josh,

We will be posting a sign up form on our website in the next week or so. I have a couple of items that I need to team to address and then we will allow public signup to begin. Please note that you will need to add some hardware to the system to make ViewControl work.

You will need a PC to Run DashBoard that is able to supply a "TV" resolution that matches your system and a converter to get the PC signal into the HD-SDI domain. Note that you must be operating in either 720p or 1080i as there is no support in SD.

You will need a SDI to HDMI apapter and a Touch Screen that will support the TV format that you are using. We used some Planar monitors that seem to be the best suited for this -- they work well in 1080i as well as 720p. There are some monitors that support 720p just fine but won't do 1080i.

When you say..."you must be operating in either 720p or 1080i as there is no support in SD" does this mean the whole switcher needs to be running in HD or will you be able to run ViewControl with a SD show and HD multiviewwers?

    Hi George.

HD operating mode only. No support currently for the SD mode running HD MV.

    Hey Les,

    Forget my last post....

I am not seeing any of my inputs on my ViewControl now. I am seeing ViewControl, but no inputs.

    Any thoughts? Thanks.

Yes there is a clip setting adjustment for the MV you will need to adjust it till it gets to the point where you have the black removed from the Overlay. if the default of 6.3 did not work try about 11-12% range. Depends on the converter and what it does to black levels.

I am still not able to see any of my inputs on the Dashboard Software in ViewControl. I can select the boxes and Cut/Auto Transition and it is controlling my Carbonite. But no input images on my software.

    Jamie,

ViewControl requires that you take the output of the PC and convert to SDI (unless you have a MultiMedia frame which has HDMI inputs) and put that into the switcher. In the MV (MV1) we "Key" the input (overlay) onto the MV and then from there you take the output of the switcher and put it into the touchscreen.

Here are example images of wiring up the system

    Thank you Les,

It's not going to allow me to do what I thought I was going to be able to then. Oh well. Great feature nonetheless.
