Production Switchers

we are using Crossover Solo's Chroma source as a single source physically connected as an individual source at input no-12 in QMD Vision Octane 2 MLE switcher, my issue is while switching between crossover source (input no 12) and the QMD's MLE-1 (2- Way Box) Source we are getting a long Black Frames and when we are switching between Input No 12 and any other QMD's source it goes well also there is no issue of Reference Signal (Sync) because we are using QMD's Reference Out as External Input Reference for the Crossover so please help me what is the reason there.

Hi Amit,

The reference is a loop -- so if both switchers are getting the same reference and then your processing in the crossover you are about 3/4 of a line of delay through the system. So at this point the source out of the CrossOver is going to be slightly out of time with the other sources in the Vision.

So you either need to delay the timing to the Vision or you need to add a Frame Sync after the crossover so you can adjust the timing to match the timing window of the vision.

Thanks Les, I'll try that but my question is why the problem occurs only while switching with MLE Source of QMD not with any other sources.

It's still about a difference in timing between the desired sources to be switched.

You would be best to contact tech support directly and send them your configuration files. You might also make a quick video showing the video switches.
