Production Switchers

Back story
We have a screen that raise and lower(like most). we keep the screen most times up in a double wide format, I have a key on the switcher to mask the image. I have created a custom control that releases the mask at the same duration of the screen lowering. This weekend I want to be able to lower the screen and then put it back up with the same format. Timed to the raising of the screen. Problem is, when I go to insert a DVE into the CC i get the following error:

There are no communications ports set to DVE.

What am I missing? The CC that lowers the mask has a sequence in it.

That section in the Custom control insert menu is for "external DVE" not the internal DVE. What you probably want to do is build a Memory that has the Sequence loaded and recall it. Or what you want to do is use the keypad when recording the custom control to load the sequence. For insert of Sequence and Run commands those are inside the Special menu.
