I am experiencing difficulty loading a still from a USB stick with a FAT32 fomat. I have a 1920x1080 .tga file created in Graphic Converter with no resource fork and not compressed. It is scaled from a 1600x1200 .bmp original. When I try to load it I receive a message as soon as I press the left-hand knob after navigating to the file. I have converted files in the past using Photoshop, but when I upgraded to a MacBook Pro, the old Power PC version of Photoshop no longer worked. The switcher is at 2.0.0.2928, as the composite output is still being used as a streaming source by one user here and we have a hardware multi viewer long pre-dating that being available.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Jim,

Can you send me the file so that I can have a look at it? Also if you could send the original that would help as well incase I can figure out another way to get the scaled image.

    Thanks.

After we investigated the images here we were not able to find out what was wrong with the image. However it would not load in a switcher.

If I duplicated the file and saved with a new name via Preview it would load fine.

After downloading the current version of Graphic Converter (v 8) I was able to take the original BMP file and do the size conversion and save the file as a TGA. This loaded fine into the switcher as well.

With that we were able to determine that there is something that the version that Jim had was doing something to the file that the switcher did not like. He will be upgrading to the current version.

I tried following the same workflow you did and it worked just fine! I retired the old version of the program and upgraded, too. Thanks for all your help.
