Can I upgarde my Acuity to have 12G inputs and outputs and if yes what's the maximum I can have and are there any limitations with using 12G I/O ?

This is bit of a longer thing :) Yes you can upgrade I/O boards. They will be out in another month or so. They have 20 BNCs but are 12G SDI every 4th connector. So essentially you can have 5 12G sources that are either single link or use 4 QUAD 3G in 2SI. UP to 2 could be QUAD SQD if you like. Or you can have instead combinations of 3G1080p on multiple connectors that will be unconverted in the MEs. If you want SD/720p/1080i then when not using the converters for QSQD you could have 8 of those that convert to 1080p then up convert in the MEs.

So there is a lot of "stuff" you can do. Maybe talking on a phone or Skype would be better?

Yes you could load it up and in 8RU essentially have a 30x15 12G SDI I/O. Again when your intermixing HD/3G signals the Input count does got up as your not required to consume the 4 lanes of data only a single lane.

if I go all 12G, can I resize and source and position it anywhere in the raster, I'm looking at gaming where I need 4 12G sources positioned around the screen.

Could I crop my other 12G sources? and what DVE capability do I have can I do perspective ?

Acuity has 8 channels of 2D DVE per UHD ME. You can do a 2 Box Per Keyer for a Max of 8 Boxes. When in UHD mode and with the optional 3D DVE you get 1 3D DVE per ME. Now this can fly Video + Alpha or do a 2 Box in a single Keyer. Those 3D channels have Rotation the 2D channels do not. No WARP effects in UHD 3D DVE.

Great I only need 4 and they will be full UHD resolution sources for each 2D DVE? Can I also crop my UHD Keys? I need two players and 2 games outputs, over a looping UHD background from the stores or external server. All sources are 12G single link

Yup that is fine -- also you can do the 4 DVEs in only 2 Keyers :) Key Combiner in Acuity allows you to perform a 2 Box per Keyer. Each has it's own properties including Crop settings.
