Viewcontrol on second display

When running dashboard, is there a way to drag view control onto the second display to feed to the switcher input and still run live assist on the main display? Or do you need two separate machines?

Run a Second instance of DashBoard on the Same PC.

How do you get the previews on ViewControl? I just have black boxes.

You have to output the Video from the PC and put it into the Switcher. Then you can layer the ViewControl GUI over the MV in the configuration menu. Now it shows up on the output of MV 1.

Having ViewControl on the second screen is great, but I can't get the touch to work on the 2nd display? When touching the screen, it reflects on the main monitor. I am sure there has to be a way this can be fixed in Windows, has anyone else had this issue?

Also... what SDI - HDMI converters can be recommended for running the touch screen? We running a Dell P2418HT touch monitor but our current converter is giving a lot of interferance.

You will need to go into the Control Panel and find the Tablet Settings. Then in it you go to Configure -- It will ask you to touch the monitor - Follow the instructions as it will say what to do if that monitor is not the touch monitor (think it say to press enter) then the instructions will move to the next monitor -- if that is the one then you touch it. This will move the assignment for you.

Not sure what your seeing by means of interference. We always use the Planar series monitors for our ViewControl and they seem good with just about all of the SDI to HDMI (of course we use our Ross SHC converters).

Thanks a lot Les. I will have a look for the settings.

The interference is like the frame sync is out. Just like when you select a refresh rate in Windows that is not fully supported by the monitor... Everything shakes :-) Was just curious if anyone had any luck with other products and converters besides Planar and Ross converters

The Dell screen we using seem to only support 1080p. What model of the planar screen are you using?

    http://www.planar.com/products/desktop-touch-screen-monitors/24-inch/pxl2430mw/

These are the ones that we use in most of our Demo Kits.

Also I have seen the 27 Inch helium and 32 inch models used as well. The 32 was pretty cool :)

Thanks again! It doesn't specify what resolutions it supports, only says 1920x1080 full HD. Does this mean it supports 1080i?

We run them currently at 1080i and they work.
