Production Switchers

I've been asked to build a scenario that I could tackle a couple of different ways, but one of the easiest would be if I could bus-link MLE-1 PGM to MiniME-1 PGM, and MLE-1 PVW to MiniME-2 PGM. As I looked through the panel menus and through Dashboard, I haven't seen anything like bus-linking ... I just want to make sure I'm not missing something? Full disclosure, my client is still using V9.1.0.

There is no full system Bus Linking. You can only link MiniME via MultiScreen and then do a Source Substation so that they select same or different sources and don't scale the image. This however does not help with the ME 1 PV request as the MiniME don't really have Preview.

Even in version 11 there is no Bus link feature like you are looking for -- you would need a Vision or Acuity for that.

Thank you for the quick response, Les. I can do what I need to with Custom Controls and some XPT holds and effects dissolves on emems. In the end, I need to be in a 2-box effect that will have 2 channels of CG as an overlay. I need to be able to cut sources in both boxes, and also need the ability to pull either box full.

Another thought was to loop 2 AUX outputs back into the switcher as sources, then (with proper next transition selection) I could potentially feed MLE CLN to one box, and MLE PVW to the other box -- this could give me the ability to cut in each box with the buttons on the panel, and best case, I could still keep my keyer row delegated for CC execution.

Hi Matt,

The switcher supports a function called Aux Follow. You can map Aux Buses to the Bus Map as "inputs" then instead of doing a physical loop back just select an Aux to "follow". Then switch on the Aux and it will change the source in the box.

In version 11 you can do a DVE in Both Keys of a MiniME Then loop into another MiniME so that you can Have an Overlay on top of them.
