  • 1.  Media-Store Animation: "FILE LARGER THAN CACHE"

So we have an animation exported as a series of sequential PNG files and have it loaded into a folder on our USB drive. When we try loading the animation into a media channel on our Carbonite Black Plus, we get the following error.

    "ERROR: FILE LARGER THAN CACHE
The file you are trying load is too large for the Media-Store resources. Free up the Media Number?"

The entire animation is 1800 frames and is 16MB, at about 16KB per frame. How big is cache on the Black+ and is there a trick to making things load?

That is the compressed file size. The individual frames need to be decompressed into Video space. So depending on which video format your working and if there is alpha channel will give you the maximum animation length.

For 1080 your going to be around 390 frames with alpha. Double that without.

Channel 1/3 has its own 4GB and 2/4 has its own 4GB.
