Hello, It is my understanding that with V10, we can make a self key also a DVE key and fly it in a box. It says to hold self key and then press DVE key then press key # sel and we should be able to fly the key. I don't get the option when using this sequence. can you help?

Hi Chuck, do you have the DVE's assigned anywhere else? Flying a key requires two DVE channels are free, if you only have one available it wont work. If thats not the problem then setup a key as you would normally, then simply hold the AutoSelect and press DVE, both buttons should then be lit. Pressing the button for the keyer you are using will toggle between key and DVE settings, press it until you see the DVE menu - from there you can manipulate the key.

You can store and recall flying keys in the same way as all other effects.

    Chuck,

Sorry I should read more thoroughly before responding. I see that this is for a self Key. No matter the same applies, just that once the key is setup you press and hold Self Key then DVE and both should be lit.

Hi Nigel, When I try this button combination, the DVE button does not stay lit and the options do not change. I have tried with all of the other types of keyers (auto, chr) with the same results. As far as I can tell, I do not have the DVE allocated somewhere else as I have take all keyers to auto and then tried it. I will bring what I want flown in on a different input with alpha and just use a DVE key for it. Thanks for trying!

    Chuck,

What switcher mode are you running in? Menu-System-Next-Next-Next-Next

    Hi chuck,

That is why. The standard mode does not have this feature.

You need to be in MiniME or 2.5 modes

I understand. I use 4 of the 6 frame syncs, does the 2.5 mode disable these as well?

    Thanks for your help!

Yes all of those modes have no frame syncs in the main FPGA.
