Hello, wondering if anyone had any information on transferring a created Dashboard button to the switcher.

We have installed some networked lights which can be triggered with a UDP string sent over network. I've created a button that will send UDP strings in Dashboard, but am wondering if i can transfer this action to the switcher so that the operator can trigger it. The idea is to have a video roll with the lights synced to it.

    Thanks

Two options here. You can try setting up a RossTalk device in the switcher and making it an XPression device. You can select UDP as the com type. Then make a custom control that uses the "Type in Command" which will allow you to enter this string into the command to send out.

Other option is to make a TCP RossTalk device that sends commands to the DashBoard panel to perform the triggering of that button that will then send the command to the lights. Here you use the GPI command from the switcher -- make sure the RossTalk listener is on in dashboard preferences. Then assign the GPI to the button right above the tasks in the line labels trigger.

    Hey styresd,

Did you manage to successfully do it?
If so, how did you do it?
