  • 1.  Running a TGA. animation through Vision Switcher

    Hi,

New guy here needs Switcher help.

My switching for the last 6 yrs is with Sony switchers.

I need to import some TGA. files into the Ross Vision.

It's a simple animation being used as a transition from one source to the next.

Is it best to import this to the still store then try and create a custom control ?

Does the still store playback animations ?

Is this a simple custom control creation ??

The truck appears to have a clip device with a key channel too.

I just need to know the simplest way to approach what should be pretty easy.

The Ross Vision is pretty foreign to me.

Any help from someone with experience would be greatly appreciated.

I have manuals to read but won't be touching the switcher till about 6hrs before showtime.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Tony,

Here is a link to the Vision Videos we did a little while ago. Maybe this will make it easier to get familiar with the switcher and some of the items your asking about.

Is there a specific setting for the Targa image sequence that we require? We have loaded TGA image sequences into the Media Store and they are failing to display the KEY symbol and thus don't load an Alpha into the M4 or M3 locations respectively. The TGA image sequence was exported both with and without an Alpha, but with no change.

TGA should be saved as a 32 bit so that it has Alpha. 24 Bit will just throw your alpha away.
