  • 1.  Deleting Thumbnails in the Media Manager

    Greetings,
I had renamed some files which generated new thumbnails for the new names. The old thumbnails are still there and I have yet to figure out how to delete them. I have also deleted files and can't seem to remove those thumbnails either. I did drag them into M3 and that got rid of some of those unneeded thumbnails. I just want a garbage can in the MM to get rid of those duplicate thumbnails, or a clean up button.

You have to click on them like you saw to be asked if you want it thrown away. The Thumbnail is not the only entry in the DB. There is also the Attributes for the File that they go with. So we don't want to just destroy the record without the confirmation of it. A true clean slate would be to take the USB drive out. View Hidden files and in the root you will find the Database file. If you wipe it off the drive (also make sure to empty Recycle Bin/trash can) then when you put it back in it will rebuild the entire database. Careful though as you will have lost all attributes for all the original media.
