  • 1.  Nexio Looping Relative Custom Control

I was trying to make a Relative Custom Control with our Vision switcher version 12.1a, so that I could loop video on the air, which would then auto run in an Overdirve template. When I punch up the Nexio in the Program row, click more, and then click Loop, it turns on and then a half a second later it goes back off. Is this possible to do?

You could have a couple of issues with this request John.

One you can not record relative to devices -- meaning that it would not know to make this active on the device channel that is active on air. Even worse imagine that you have 2 channels on air how would it know which channel you mean ;). The Relative Macro abilities are tied to the MLE commands and don't extend much beyond that.

The Loop function will only become active with a clip of 7 seconds or higher.

What might be better would be for us to request an addition of a future feature of being able to code the loop in the template. So with a server item you would pick the clip id and then be able to set a "loop flag"

I will pass this on to the MPMs of the OverDrive team

An option would be to make a looping clip within Nexio. To do this, double-click the Media ID in the Nexio Media Base. When the window opens look toward the top right side. Click the box that says "Loop Play" then click "OK."

Now when you make your Custom Control in Vision, sending the "Play" command will automatically make the Nexio loop the clip. And, it will continue to loop until you send a "Pause" or other CC command or load another clip into that channel.
