Did anyone manage to control a Yamaha CL-series mixer from a Carbonite using the built-in DM1000 / 01v96 driver? I guess the controls are very similar.

Curious about this myself as well. We have QL5 mixers though.

Might be doable (and more flexible) to do it through DashBoard somehow though. I'll have to poke around when I get some free time.

Yamaha tells me the MIDI setup is the same on the CL5 so it should work but we have not been able to do it. We have a DeviceMaster RTS-1 to convert the TC/IP data to RS-411 and the Ross SMC-9901 Serial to MIDI converter. The DeviceMaster setup is very complex and not documented for setup between Carbonite and the SMC-9901 so I've never been able to tell for sure if we were actually getting valid MIDI data to the mixer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The configuration of the Device Master should be the same as any 422 device when used with the SMC. I will make a note to see if we can make sure to add some details about that in the future.

However if you look at the link here to the web manuals you will find the configuration equivalent for the Moxa 5150 which is another version of an IP to Serial Adapter.
