  • 1.  Carbonite Black Tallies to Ultrix Router

    Hi,

I am currently trying to figure out, how to send the Tally-states from a Carbonite Black via TSL 3.1 to an Ultrix Router but it doesn't work.

What I have done (due to manuals):
-Added an TSL-UMD-device in the Carbonite Black with the ip from the Ultrix and the Port 5727, TCP, everything else on expect 1SecUpdate.
-Added an Server-Connection in the Ultrix-Connection-Menu (see Screenshot) with the ip of the carbonite.
    -Set the Tally-Status-Level to 1 (the Video-Level)
-Set the Tally-IDs in the Sources (ID1-6 for Source 1-6)
-Added a UltriScape-Layout with 6 PIPs each have Tally-Borders, Tally-Lamps, Text with Tally
    -Routed Source 1-6 to PIP-Destination 1-6

    But I get no response.
I tried adding a second TSL device in the Carbonite Black with the the ip of the Dashboard-PC with the DashBoard-Tally-Service and this worked, all the Tally-Infos are listed and updated.
So it has to be a configuration-issue in the Ultrix.

Would be great if someone please can help me!

Ok sorry guys, I got it on my own:

The answer is that the Ultrix only accepts TSL-UMD-3.1 via UDP not TCP.
So in the Carbonite Black you have to change the Transport to UDP and the Port to 4490.

You also have to re-apply the Ultriscape-Layout to the Head to apply the changes.
I also had to swap the Tally Lamp Colors in the Ultrix-Configuration.

    Hello Uckgruck,
    I'm also in similar situation.
I'm trying to connect Tallyman TM controller to provide Tallies & UMDs for Ultriscape Multiviwer. The Ultrix can see the TSL 3.1 stream via TCP port number 5727 as a client. Ultriscape can retrieve the tallies from the stream, but NO UMDs. I will upload some pictures of my Dash board settings tomorrow. I'll try UDP as well
And database needs to refresh all time even a small change done..

    Thanks
