I'm looking to build an effect and was hoping someone might have some insight on how to do so.

First of all, I'm not very up to speed on the capabilities of the Squeeze and Tease so I apologize for my ignorance.

I have a keyable lower 3rd and a full screen clip with alpha.

I'm looking to have the lower 3rd sitting on the screen animating keyed and rotating it up to the top of the screen with the full screen animation rotating from the bottom of the screen up and being attached to the lower 3rd. Have I lost you yet? Essentially, I'm looking to build a 2 sided cube with both clips being Auto Select keys and attached to one another so they rotate together.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to combine two fly keys. I've tried using 2 channels on a single fly key but it doesn't seem to allow me to use Auto Select when I use this configuration.

    Thanks in advance!

    Scott:

From the version 12.9 manual (talking about the positioner module):

"¢ LINK "” This button allows you to add and remove elements that are being controlled by

the Positioner Module. To add an element, press and hold the LINK button, and then

press the SEL or crosspoint button for the element you want to add. The LINK button

lights if more than one element is being controlled by the Positioner Module. If you

select another element that the Positioner Module would auto follow, the current link

settings are lost. An example of linking would be to link two flying keys together from

separate Keyers. Double-press the LINK button on the Positioner Module to display the

    Positioner Menu.

However, I can't get this to work. Sure would be useful.

    Hi Spencer,

Thanks for your reply and I appreciate your help!

After smashing my head against the wall and bashing about on the Switcher, I was able to get the two fly keys to "LINK". It's not what I expected though. As soon as I start to rotate the keys they don't "combine" as I hoped, they just rotate together. I was hoping if I lined them up, in a slab like shape, they would stick together.

I didn't think this would be so difficult to do. On the Snell Kahuna, you just create a slab in the menu and it all stays together, takes about 5 minutes. I was kind of hoping for something similar on the Vision.

    HI Guys,

Link does work and there is also a HOLD button on the positioner so that you can lock in all of the elements you have added to the link -- double press the link button after you have locked it so that you can take out the items that you don't want linked.

Scott you would have to change the pivot position so that they would be in a "common" area in relation to 3D space and then it will work as you are attempting to do.

Yes in Synergy we had the Object Builder interface for building slabs -- I will add you to the list of requests. Sorry that feature is not there.

    Hi Les,

I did as you said and after changing the pivot position they do stay together until I move them on the screen as a slab would do. Then they come apart. Not really what I want to have happen. I played around with this for quite some time yesterday having the same result every time. They always separated when I moved them too far on the screen.

    Thank you for your help.
