I'm trying to decide if I need a standard Carbonite or the Plus, is there a timing window before I need to use a Frame Synchronizer?

You have + or - a quarter line timing window. So your devices all need to have Genlock inputs. The plus also gives you colour correction and proc amp on every input. Those frame syncs are also conversion for other formats as well.

If your looking at the Black Series then there is even more features like conversion and CC/Proc on outputs 11-22 and 3 additional MVs.

So does it vary if I'm working in SD or HD? what is it in time?

Hi James, We specify the Timing window to always be +/- 1/4 Line in all our video formats.
