    Dear Les,

Does the Carbonite Switcher support any HDR format signal (HLG, HDR10+, PQ, Dobly Vision),at least it will not change the signal type and bypass the HDR signal & output the same signal at PGM output.

    Thanks from Jackie

As long as your HDR settings are in 709 colour space then you will be fine as the switcher just processes the bits. Your issue is going to be with SDR sources that you want to MAP into the HDR colour Space. If you have a PLUS Frame then you have Colour Correctors on the inputs and can use those to adjust the SDR signal to fit in with the HDR signals.

HLG is the easiest for this as that is about a 65 on the Luma that you dial it down to. The others will require other Gamma curve adjustments. Note that HDR10 and Dolby Vision are usually delivery methods while most monitors natively support HLG. Currently HLG is the most common as it is able to be displayed on SDR Monitors but with a slight Dimness on the display. The others have Gamma shifts that end up with colours not really displaying unless the monitor is able to support that HDR mode.

    Dear Les,
    Thanks for the answer first!
That's means if the incoming signal is HLG, the Carbonite will pass it to output as HLG.

What about the 4K 2SI signal? Is it only support with the Carbonite Black series but not Carbonite switcher?

    Thanks from Jackie

Correct the hardware in the Carbonite series was not able to support the UHD 2SI system mode.
