Production Switchers

Anyone have experience using a NewTek Talkshow (or any of the boxes out there that run Skype TX)? We are a church and are looking to do live/mobile on-location announcements occasionally using a cell phone with Skype, and this is a solution that supports genlock, return video, etc. Looking for any first-hand opinions. Thanks!

If you have an XPression it can be done with it using the Region Capture mode to map only the Video window to a material.

We use ProPresenter as our CG, and I could get a screen capture into it similarly, however I'm looking for feedback on the hardware solution. Thanks!

Yes, we're using a TalkShow on some sports talk shows, mostly for "talking head" interviews. The quality is far superior than using traditional Skype software and screen capturing it into our productions. If your remote guest has a decent computer and a good internet connection, the quality is great. If your remote guest happens to ALSO have a TalkShow, oh man, the quality is spectacular.

Alright, in full disclosure, my company is a NewTek Dealer, but seriously the TalkShow is a really capable machine with video inputs and outputs, audio inputs and outputs, IFB control, and much more. The SkypeTX functionality and quality can't be compared to the traditional Skype calling on a computer.
