  • 1.  Latching Multi DSK to a wipe or dissolve

I'd like to be able to latch one of my DSKs to a dissolve or wipe and have it transition out instead of just cutting. I'm currently using a Vision switcher with two MLEs. Is there any way to achieve this or any workaround to get the same results using regular keys?

    Thanks for the help,

    Rory

It depends on the installed options on your Vision of whether or not you can transition latched DSKs.

I would think that regardless of the installed options you would be able to do a wipe with keys transitioning on an ME with "regular" keys... but could be wrong.

    Rory:

To my knowledge: DSKs ONLY cut on and off, thus can not be latched to do a wipe transition.

Jason is correct in his statement[QUOTE]regardless of the installed options you would be able to do a wipe with keys transitioning on an ME with "regular" keys ---- in saying that, if you could use whatever your keying with the DSK as the top layered keyer on the pgm/pvw bank then you could "latch" the keyer(s) with the background and then preform a wipe or dissolve.

refer to the ops manual: Vision Ops Manual ( section 7 )
