    Hi there,

Need some help here. We installed Crossover12 to our newly built studio and we utilized the multiview function of the Crossover12 production switcher to lessen the TV monitors and we also have very limited space.

Our main problem as of this time is the multiview is trimmed(the display in our 55 inch LED TV) vertically as well as horizontally. Our LED Monitor is a commercial grade LED TV by SONY with model KDL55HX750. The SDI out of the Crossover was routed thru Harris ENC 6800 to convert it to analog and fed to the monitor thru composite.

Is it possible that the resolution (of the croosover) doesn't fit the resolution of the monitor. We are also using Xpression CG. we observed that if we set the resolution to 720P the the CG utilized the whole monitor without trimming. Is there also a setting for the crossover12 to change the multiview resolution so that it will fit the monitor without trimming?

Thanks in advance. I wish you all a prosperous new year.

Are you running in SD or are you running in HD?

hi les. we are running SD. we are still actually in analog broadcast. that is why we are using downconverter. we just have prpblem with the multiview vid out. it looks to me that it doesnt fit the led monitor.

    Hi,

That is the issue -- the system multi viewer operates at the same resolution as the system. So if you are in SD so is the MV. Thus the Monitor is doing the scaling and it is cutting off the image.

When you set the XPression to 720p your putting it into HD which means that it is an HD resolution and the Monitor will not do the "cutting".

There is nothing you can do to change this as it is what the monitor is doing. Other facilities have put higher end Scalars in between the system to do the SDI to HDMI or DVI conversion into the monitor.

We had the same problem on our SD installation, we are planning an HD upgrade soon but in the meantime we found a solution by using a Decimator 2 HD-SDI to HDMI converter which has inbuilt anamorphic ability which gave us full screen 16:9 uncropped multi-viewer images on our screen. All for less than $500
