  • 1.  how to control a mini ME on the panel?

    Hi there,

I can easily control sources and keys on mini ME's on the dashboard but I understand there is a way to assign the mini ME control to user button on the panel itself but so far I'm having no luck with it. Any insights?

    Hi,

I would suggest watching the videos at Carbonite U :)

    http://www.rossvideo.com/production-switchers/carbonite/carbonite-u/

Carbonite U 111 is all about MiniME and MultiScreen and has the configuration of user buttons in it. Plus it is as of version 12 so even has a couple of items like background DVE stuff in it.

PS -- Version 12 Carbonite and DashBoard v8.1 are now released and can be downloaded from the website.

OK thanks, a rewatch of the mentioned video and I've figured it out. Now let me ask you this...I'm trying to make use of the substitution tables. Can I put Program on a mini ME but anytime I put Camera 11 on Program the mini ME will take Media channel instead? Here's what I'm up against, Program is feeding a big screen within the venue and is quite featured in a tight camera shot (Camera 11) the ask from the production is that anytime we take Camera 11 that a logo will appear in the big screen. I have a pretty good idea of how to handle this via custom controls but thought that a substitution might make it easier.

Looks like you started another thread for this -- I will answer there. Essentially the answer is no -- However I was playing with DashBoard v8.1 Today and can use Visual Logic to create a Custom DashBoard panel that will monitor the PGM bus and will change the source when a source I have selected goes on that Bus. Then it will switch back to PGM when any other source is on the PGM bus :)
