Production Switchers

We are having issues capturing stills from the panel to USB. We can ftp to the USB, send and rx, push images via Media Manager to program. All of that works.

But when capturing from the panel, we get one good capture. The second time it hangs on "Capturing ..." until we reboot the switcher. I've tried a few different USB sticks, currently using a 64Gb USB 3/2 Sandisk. Does the type of stick make a difference?

I have not seen this issue before and the type of USB stick doesnt matter (so far) provided its formatted to Fat32. Yours are obviously working as you can FTP etc.

I will pass this along to engineering for comment, it does seem very strange. We will probably need to get the log files from you, if so I will explain how to do that.

What format are you running (1080/720?) and are you using internal or external Sync?

720p and external sync.

I had the same experience on my Carbonite plus. Running 720p using the internal sync. I have my 2 ref outs set to 480i and 1080i, since the Sony hd cameras don't seem to like 720p trilevel even when that's their format.

Hi Matt,

There is an issue in version 7.3 and 7.3.1 with running in Internal Mode for 720p and Capture. We are working on a fix for this. Put your system into External mode (it will "fall back" on internal clock when no input is present). Now you should be able to capture. Note though that in dashboard you will see the status as Yellow and not Green.
