Looking forward to the Road Map, will the Custom Controls ever have the ability to be aware of whether a key is on or off and only do one of those actions?

For Example, when programming a custom control it adds the line "Key 4 Cut" and whether the key is on or off just toggles the key to the opposite of it's current state. It would be great if there was the ability to have a "Key 4 Cut On" or "Key 4 Cut Off" as the key would stay on if it was already on or just stay off if it was already off. Yet another feature I would love to see added to the Ross Vision if at all possible.

    Thank you again,

    Scott

    Hi Scott,

You have always had that ability in the Custom Control -- however the way it works is via the Insert Special Menu.

So when you start Recording a Custom Control and you want to insert a "state" behaviour you go into the custom control menu (if you were taken elsewhere during your recording) and then select the "Insert Special" button. Inside of this is other menus, you want the Special menu. Scroll down till you get to the Cut or Trans Keys functions -- you will be able to pick the keyer(s) and the state that you want to set using either a Cut or a Trans based on the function you have selected.

I use these all the time in making Custom Controls for Transition effects.
