Production Switchers

...mostly out. When it reconnects after a while it just drops out again after a few seconds. Connection with other item, Blackstorm, from same computer or other computer on same network is stable. Also Media Manager works fine without glitches. Pinging Carbonite from computer is lossless even when connection with DashBoard is down. DashBoard connection from two different computers restores and loses connection simultaneously

Any suggestions?

well has the computer upgraded OS? Has Java Updated? Has the network topology changed? Does the computer have multiple network connections? Do you have 1 or 2 connections to the frame network ports? There can be many reasons beyond those two items -- especially if you have done nothing to them. That said. You really should consider upgrading DashBoard and Carbonite. There are many many many features that you would get from doing this as well as bug fixes and improvements. DashBoard also has new features -- especially with Visual Logic.

I would recommend that you go ahead and download the software and upgrade notes and have a look at it.

Can you elaborate on this? Not sure I fully get what you ask

We are doing education and the use of the systems is rather basic. System has worked fine till now and I have implemented the "If it works, don't fix it" strategy vis Á¡ vis upgrading

There are 2 network ports on the back of the frame -- is it still only 1 bing used? Have you rebooted the Carbonite at all since this started or just re launching the dashboard? Tech support is probably your next best avenue to give them a call and they can help trouble shoot with you. Or Possibly get logs after it takes place and then send those up to the developers to look into.

Ther has been no change in the connections - 1 network port is in use and we have rebooted everything related - Carbonite, Computer and network switch
