This is probably a very "duh" sort of question, but none the less...I need help! I am trying to build a custom control that takes video that is squeezed back in a box, pushes it full and then mixes on a super in Key 4. I can get it to push the video full, but the super never mixes on, yet when I go to the custom control menu and run each event separately, the super DOES come on. Any ideas as to why this isn't working? Thanks!

Hi Amy. You need to add a pause to the custom before the key transition. The length would normally be the rate of the DVE transition so that it starts when the move is complete. However that's your call.

The reason it's not working is the custom is trying to run two transitions at once.

You are right...I just figured that out...thanks!! OK, another question. We have an old version of OverDrive, and therefore can only make Keys 1 and 2 assignable in the template. Because of this I usually build 3 boxes using both channels on key 1, making channel 2 the preset side of the MLE, and using key 2. This way we can assign Key 1, Key 2 and Preset in the template. Is there a way to use this set up and still run the sequence on Key 2 that pushes the box full? So far I can't make it work....

Amy is the transition for the memory selected on key 2 and sequence selected? If so is the custom control to run the sequence set up as relative?

Jason...yes and yes. The problem is, in order to use the Preview side of the MLE as a source in one of the boxes, I have to have Keys 1 and 2 set as background Keys so you don't see them on preview. As soon as I hit the Sequence button to set it up for Key 2, the background button turns off. Does that make sense?

You could look at changing the Template to use Bus Follows instead -- just an idea to look into.

In the Auto Follows menu (Personality - More - Auto Follows) enable for CC, Panel and Editor.

Now setup Auto Follows that will send PST Bus Selections of the MLE to the Keyer of the MLE. Note that if your using PST bus selections for other elements beside this use you will have an issue here.
