    Hello,

first of all I have one simple question: Do the Memory Store and/or Recall Attributes affect the State (that can be inserted into a custom control) in any way? If not is the State always the complete switcher state or is it possible to exclude certain MEs or Keyers?

    Thanks,

    Marc

The Recall Memory Attributes have no effect.

The Store Memory Attributes have FULL effect over the state. So use them to define how the State should recall when the custom control is run by setting them before you perform the Insert State command.

Alright, then maybe you can help me with one of my CCs.

    1. State PGM: I'm setting up 4 different DVE-Keyers, which mainly include position, size and masks.

    2. Hold

    3. Effect Dissolve: Doing something irrelevant on a different ME.

What I want to achieve is, that I am able to manually adjust the position and size of the keyers within the mask during the hold. Then I want the effect dissolve to take place and leave the key parameters as I've just set them up.

Before storing the effect dissolve state, I greyed out all MLE 1 keyer parameters in Live Assist - Memory - Store. However if I do the effect dissolve, the keyers dissolve back to what was initially stored in the State PGM (and what is maybe also stored in the effect dissolve?). Do you know why?

I just tested this setting up a 2 Box moving around on ME 2 while ME 1 and ME 3 (this system is setup as a 2.5ME) and set all of ME 1 and ME 3 Attributes to No Recall on the Store Attributes page. Inserted State -- PGM Mode for the first Insert so that it recalls the 2 Box. Then inserted a pause then Inserted my Second State with the boxes moved to a different location set mode to Eff Dissolve and kept all the other settings the same for ME 1 and ME 3. I run the Custom Control and it does not make any changes on ME 1 or ME 3. I change bus sources and Keyer States/settings and when I Run the Custom it runs as expected.

I think you got me wrong.

The boxes aren't supposed to move at all. I just want to manually adjust their position on ME 1 with the joystick prior taking it to air during the hold. Then I want to do an effect dissolve on ME 2. But for any reason this effect dissolve on ME 2 resets my boxes on ME 1.

I've attached the CC, maybe that helps.

Okay well that sounds like on that next "state" you are recalling parameters for ME 1.

I will try to load this up on a switcher here and see what it is doing.

Exactly, I agree. However I greyed out all MLE 1 keyer parameters in Live Assist "“ Memory "“ Store before storing that state. That's why I'm wondering...

Okay -- yes there is an issue. The DVE Parms are still following even though Keytype is set to off.

    Logged as a bug.

unfortunately it probably won't be for some time.

The Dev Cycle is at the end of the current release they are working on so it will end up in the next version.
