Focus and Iris of POVITCam cannot be controlled by Carbonite Black Solo

    Hello,

We've connected the PIVOTCam to the Carbonite Black Solo (CBS), it can control the Pan and Tilt by the joystick. However, we found that the focus and iris cannot be controlled on CBS. And the zoom is not sensitive, sometimes not responding when turn the button of zoom.

Is there any missing settings? The CBS is running v1.2 software version.

Is it a know issue at this moment?

    Please advise.

Tony, Here is the instruction for camera control. To access focus and iris you need to press next in the menu control area...

To Manually Control the Camera Head 1. Press the source button for the camera you want to control. 2. Use the positioner, or the knobs, to adjust the pan, tilt, and zoom of the camera. "¢ Pan "“ move the camera head left or right "¢ Tilt "“ move the camera head up or down "¢ Zoom "“ zoom the camera lens in or out 3. Press NEXT. 4. Press the Focus knob to toggle between auto and manual focus. "¢ Use the Focus knob to manually focus the camera lens in manual mode. 5. Press the Iris knob to toggle between auto and manual iris. "¢ Use the Iris knob to manually open and close the iris in manual mode.

Are you using a MOXA IP to Serial protocol converter and made sure that the settings for the serial port match the camera settings? We have not seen any erratic behaviour in control from the panel.
