Just curious if anyone can suggest a "best practice" for deleting sets and memories?

I'm doing some housekeeping, and want to delete all but one set. Through Filezilla, I connected to the USB drive and deleted the sets that we're not using anymore (Set 1 thru 9). After re-storing the set I'm going to have everyone use as a base (Set 0), I stored a back-up (Set 9) via the switcher panel, but even after refreshing there was nothing in the directory tree for Set 9.

As for memories (e-mem), is there an easy way to delete a memory from the panel or Dashbord??

    Thank you in advance...

    Matthew:

The easiest way to delete (e-mem) I have found is via dashboard. E-mem are within a SET.

Not knowing your operation, I can only speak of how I do "housekeeping".

I save all NEW shows as SET 0 and a backup of it as SET 1 when I build them. After I am totally satisfied on the show I rename SET 0 with the clientname_sport_date_myname by just removing the usb and putting it in a laptop to do that. I then create folders on the usb and put each clients shows in the respective folder. I then make a backup copy of the usb I keep and then I return the truck usb back to the switcher.

In doing this we have found all the TDs can have their shows the way they like to run the switcher.

My usb looks something like - IE:

    FOLDER ESPN

    ESPN_Basketball_010115_Gordon

    ESPN_Baseball_010115_Gordon

    ESPN_Football_010115_Gordon

    ESPN_Soccer_010115_Gordon

    FOLDER NBCSports

    NBCSports_Soccer_010115_Gordon

    FOLDER CBSsports

    CBS_Soccer_010115_Gordon

    CBS_Basketball_010115_Gordon

    FOLDER RootSports

    RootSports_Basketball_010115_Gordon

    RootSports_Baseball_010115_Gordon

    RootSports_Football_010115_Gordon

    RootSports_Soccer_010115_Gordon

Just wanted to say 'thank you' for the help ... I have everything cleaned-up and documented very nicely! I don't know why I didn't think to rename those "set" folders.

    Thank you again,

    Matt
